why? if it's only the outer insulator is torn off not the conduting wire itself

Do not solder threaded wire together if you intend to ever move your wire slightly.
The solder will crack under the shrink wrap and you will have a fire hazard.

that is INCOMPLETE first you must use Waterproof Solder Seal Wire Connector that heats and melts securely in place THEN cover it with one of those

Bhai kisi ko agar malum hai to bata do, video hai agar iska to bahut hi badiya..
Earphone mein earbuds ki side se grip kharab ho gayi hai, usko isse kaise fix kar sakte hain..
Wire cut nahi karni hai mujhe..
